Next Level Growth “Compete Against Giants” The power of SMALL businessOPTIMIZE OUTPUT & MINIMIZE RISKS: Understanding and Managing Supply Chain Risks

By: Joel Sutherland

Supply chain risk is recognized today as a major threat to business continuity. A break in the supply chain can reduce a company’s revenue, decrease its value, inflate costs, or threaten operations. This has increased vulnerability to disruptions involving key suppliers, contract manufacturers, service providers and, ultimately, customers. With longer supply chains (e.g., due to outsourcing) and increasing unpredictable demand and supply, the issue of supply chain risk management becomes critical.

This workshop will provide participants with an understanding of what supply chain risk is as well as provide them with fundamental tools to address and mitigate the potential negative effects.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have…

  • Learned the basic concepts of supply chain risk
  • Developed tools to identify complexity in their company and industry
  • Developed potential strategies to address and mitigate potential risks
